Page Positivity Analyzer: Analyze the Positivity of Webpages
Page Positivity Analyzer is a Google Chrome extension developed by 2catteam. This free extension reads your web pages and uses the AFINN-165 dataset to provide a positivity rating. With this tool, you can analyze the positivity or negativity of the text on any webpage.
The extension offers two options for parsing text. You can either analyze an entire webpage or select specific text to analyze. The positivity score provided by the extension is not necessarily an accurate reflection of the actual positivity of the text. Instead, it is a measurement based on the AFINN-165 dataset. However, it can be an interesting metric to see how the webpages you visit may be impacting your mood.
It's important to note that the AFINN-165 dataset is based on traditional word usage and may not accurately account for alternate or modern uses, especially when it comes to profanity.
Page Positivity Analyzer was developed in approximately four hours for the purpose of adding some fun to browsing. If you have any feature requests or bug reports, you can submit them through the Github issues page.
